Many of the individuals enrolled in the PART program are interested in receiving clinical services. After a thorough assessment, PART staff members provide treatment referrals to evidence-based treatment modalities and programs such as the ones listed below. Additionally, PART staff members provide clinical psychoeducational feedback to participants and collaborate with community providers.

  • Early Psychosis Clinic: The Early Psychosis Clinic at UCSF is an evaluation and consultation resource for individuals between the ages of 12-35 who are experiencing early signs of psychosis or who are at-risk for a psychotic disorder. The PART program makes referrals to EPC for individuals interested in receiving medication management services.
  • Prevention and Recovery in Early Psychosis (PREP) program: The PART program is partnered with the PREP program to offer comprehensive clinical services for young people experiencing a recent onset of a psychotic disorder or for those who are at-risk for psychosis. For more information about the PREP program, please refer to www.prepwellness.org

Can bad parenting cause psychosis?
No, this is not true! Individuals who develop psychosis have a biological vulnerability (e.g. genetic susceptibility) which interacts with other environmental risk factors.
